Final weekend to see 93rd Juried Art Show at Phillips’ Mill

Posted

The 93rd Juried Art Show at Phillips’ Mill is nearing the end of its run; open daily from 1 to 5 p.m., the show will close Sunday evening, Oct. 30.

“Exquisite works of art are nestled in every corner of the cozy, old mill, while captivating canvases grace its historic walls. With over 300 works of art, a mix of framed, unframed and nearly two dozen works of sculpture –– everything from bronze to felted wool to wood, clay and assemblages –– there is, pardon the cliché, something for everyone.”

Paintings and works on paper include the most traditional Bucks County landscapes as well as the avant garde and abstract. There are oils and watercolors and gouaches, and silkscreens and woodcuts and collage.

The works on exhibit at this year’s show have been highly sought after and many have already found future homes with delighted patrons. But there are still treasures to be had for those looking to buy –– and some “remarkable buys” for those who love digging deep into the portfolios overflowing with unframed, matted works placed throughout the exhibition.

In-person jurying gave this year’s event a heightened sense of excitement and the quality of submissions was exceptional, a fact readily apparent when browsing the show.

Many of the extraordinary exhibiting artists have been on hand to meet patrons, lending insights into their craft. Check the “Meet the Artists” schedule on the Mill website at phillipsmill.org/art/juried-art-show to see who is scheduled during these last few days.

The Phillips’ Mill Community Association has served the Bucks County arts community since 1929 and welcomes all who are interested in the arts to join.
