Elsa A. Reckner, 88, of Kintnersville, Pa., passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023 in St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1934 in Sonsonate, El Salvador, and was a daughter of the late Francisco and Edelmira Moran Alfaro.
Elsa was a champion diver while in El Salvador before coming to the USA to attend Ravenhill Academy in Germantown, Pa. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ottsville, Pa. She loved to read and do jigsaw and word puzzles. She was the steward of the family archives, making digitized photo albums to preserve the family history.
She will be missed by her children, Richard (Suzanne), Ana Shay, Malena Ryan (Mike), Carlos (Dee), Ed (Adale), Rita Cluck (Bob), Tony Alfaro (Jessie) and Ana Alicia Dietz (Bill); 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, her son, Frank and two brothers and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4050 Durham Road, Ottsville, Pa. Friends may call Friday, Jan. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Robert W. Snyder Funeral Home, 327 Easton Road, Riegelsville, Pa., and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
