Doylestown’s HRC to hold anti-bullying forum

Posted

In an effort to both inform the community about bullying and offer expert information on how it can be addressed, the Doylestown Borough Human Relations Commission is presenting a forum on the subject May 24.

The interactive discussion will be held at Doylestown’s borough hall, 10 Doyle St., from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.

Moderating the event will be Danny Thomas, executive director of The Peace Center in Langhorne.

Four panelists, representing a range of experts on the subject, will explain their programs and respond to written questions from the audience.

The panel includes:

  • Adrienne King: NAACP Bucks executive committee.
  • Dr. Andrew Kind-Rubin: child and community psychologist. He is the former chief clinical officer of Child Guidance Resource Centers, a community behavioral health center serving children and families in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
  • Kris Thompson: associate executive director for Crisis Services and licensed social worker with the Lenape Foundation in Doylestown.
  • Mary Worthington: director of Prevention Education and Training at NOVA, Bucks County’s Comprehensive Victim Services Agency.
