Doylestown Township neighborhood evacuated following crash

Residents living within 2,000 feet of the intersection of Ferry and Old Iron Hill roads were advised to evacuate the area Monday morning.

The alert went out to the homeowners after a propane truck overturned there at about 9:30 a.m.

The accident “has created a hazardous situation in the area and your safety is paramount,” read statement that Doylestown Township Police Department issued on bucks.crimewatchpa.com at 10:51 a.m. “Your swift and safe evacuation is crucial to ensuring the well-being of our community.”

The wreck closed Ferry Road between Old Iron Hill Road and Limekiln Road.
