Doylestown Hospital climbs Best Hospitals list

Doylestown Hospital improved its regional and state rankings in the latest U.S. News and World Report Best Hospitals list.

Doylestown Hospital is ranked No. 7 in the region and No. 13 in Pennsylvania, an improvement from No. 14 in the region and No. 23 in Pennsylvania last year.

U.S. News and World Report also rated Doylestown Hospital as “high performing” in aortic value surgery, colon cancer surgery, heart failure, heart bypass surgery, and hip and knee replacements. Doylestown Hospital was also cited as “excellent” in patient experience for abdominal aortic aneurysm, aortic valve surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, colon cancer surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, hip and knee replacement and lung cancer surgery.

The 2018-19 rankings compared more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide, based on data in 16 specialties and nine procedures and conditions. U.S. News recognized the Best Regional Hospitals in 200 metro areas and regions across the United States, ranking them based on their performance in delivering complex and common care.
