Doylestown councilman announces bid for state Legislature

Posted

Doylestown Borough Council member Tim Brennan has announced his candidacy for the new 29th Legislative District. The district includes Chalfont and New Britain Borough, Doylestown Borough and Township, Buckingham, Solebury, and New Hope.
In announcing his candidacy Brennan talked about the opportunities we have, working together, to improve peoples’ lives, to rebuild our infrastructure and to build a better future for our kids.
Brennan also stressed the need to have problem solvers in Harrisburg who see the gravity of the challenges facing us, “we may disagree about policy, but we have to expect that our legislators will stand together to protect our Democracy.” He wants to see a convergence of leadership from Republicans and Democrats, the business community and the media to promote democratic values and to be honest about threats to our most fundamental principles. Tim said he is “committed to civility and is determined to work to build communities where neighbors talk to neighbors, bridge divides and build understanding.”

Brennan said we also needed to do more to catch Pennsylvania up and move it forward in supporting families and working people. We need to make it easier to be good parents and citizens. We need to provide better access to healthcare and education, protect women’s rights, defend our environment and provide quality care and support to our seniors. He will also work for commonsense gun safety.
Brennan is an attorney specializing in helping injured workers and serves as a local government solicitor. He graduated cum laude from Widener University School of Law and studied international law at Trinity University in Ireland and Charles University in the Czech Republic. He is a graduate of Ursinus College. Tim lives in Doylestown with his wife, Patricia, and his son, Tucker.
Tim’s campaign is chaired by former Bucks County Recorder of Deeds, Robin Robinson, and former Doylestown Mayor, Ron Strouse.
