Doylestown Bookshop, Bucks Playhouse host ‘Sex and the City’ author

The Doylestown Bookshop in partnership with Bucks County Playhouse hosts “After Hours with Candace Bushnell,” an in-person event featuring the critically acclaimed, international best-selling author of “Sex and the City” in conversation with Bucks County author Ashleigh Renard at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 30.
Candace Bushnell is the author of 10 books, including “Is There Still Sex in the City,” “Sex and the City,” “Summer and the City,” “The Carrie Diaries,” “One Fifth Avenue,” “Lipstick Jungle,” “Trading Up,” “Killing Monica” and “Four Blondes.”
“Sex and the City,” published in 1996, was the basis for the HBO hit series and two subsequent blockbuster movies. “Lipstick Jungle” became a popular television series on NBC, as did “The Carrie Diaries” on the CW. “Is There Still Sex in the City” is currently in development as a TV series with Paramount. Bushnell’s new book, “Rules for Being a Girl,” is out now.

This is a ticketed event that will be held in-store at The Doylestown Bookshop, 16 S. Main St., Doylestown. Seating is limited to 60 guests, masks are optional for fully vaccinated guests, those not fully vaccinated will be required to wear a mask. Tickets are available for sale at doylestownbookshop.com
This event is in partnership with Bucks County Playhouse. Bushnell is appearing at Bucks County Playhouse through July 18, in “Is There Still Sex in the City?” which she wrote and is starring in, staged by BCP Artistic Associate and Broadway’s (“Mrs. Doubtfire”) Lorin Latarro.
