Douglas M. Rowe of Doylestown, PA passed away at home on Friday, January 26, 2024. He was 74.
Doug was born in Lewistown, PA and raised in Thompsontown, Pennsylvania. He attended Penn State University, graduating in 1971 with a degree in Engineering. Later he attended Fairleigh Dickenson University, graduating in 1986 with a Master of Business Administration degree.
Doug worked in many countries as a chemical engineer and as a marketing leader in the industrial gas industry, finishing his career with Praxair (which has since merged into Linde).
Doug also served in the United States Army.
Doug was an active Freemason and led all of the York Rite Bodies located in Doylestown. He was also a Knight of the York Cross of Honor. For many years, Doug served as Grand Recorder of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Pennsylvania.
Doug was an avid football fan. He was devoted to his Penn State Nittany Lions and also the Washington Commanders.
He was the beloved husband of 30 years to Nina Novitskaia; dear brother of Waynett Dunn; loving uncle of Jennifer and Jeremy Dunn.
The family will receive their friends at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10:00 am – 12 Noon.
Private cremation will follow.
