The Branch Fitness Second Annual Warminster Food Bank Donation Dash 5K Run & Walk will take place May 6 from 9-11 a.m. at Warminster Community Park.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Warminster Food Bank, which serves over 650 families per month in Bucks and Montgomery counties. Ninety-five percent of donations go to providing food to families in the community.
Despite it being a rainy day, last year’s race had 125 participants and it raised $11,000.
“We were looking for an event that would help raise funds to support our mission,” said Mike Cerino, Warminster Food Bank Director. “We decided on a 5K run and walk, since it would be a fun event for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Last year’s run and walk was a resounding success, even in the rain, and we’re hoping for a bigger turnout this year.”
