Dolores “Dolly” Bahlay passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022 surrounded by her family at her home in Doylestown. She was 91.
Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Plunkett) Steinbaker, she was a Philadelphia resident for most of her life.
She was a proud graduate of St. Hubert’s High School. She was a member of the school orchestra and sorority and stated many times that this was the best time of her life. Mrs. Bahlay retired as an assistant office supervisor for MetLife Insurance Company after many years of service. She was a longtime member of St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bristol, Pa.
She is survived by her daughter Dolores Herr and her husband Alan, and her three granddaughters, Sara, Rebecca and Grace. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Peter, and two sisters, Florence Hedges and Helen Dunham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022 at St. Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2026 Bath Road, Bristol, Pa. Interment, St. Mary Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pa. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the church.
