Posted
There are different ways to celebrate the arrival of the new year: watch the ball drop at home on TV, party with family or friends, or go out for dinner and/or a New Year’s Eve toast.

Local restaurants with a variety of cuisines are taking reservations for New Year’s Eve with special menus to enhance the celebration. If you want to go out, the time to make reservations is now.

Dinner service begins early at Caleb’s American Kitchen in Lahaska, where the first seating is at 4:30 p.m. An early dinner means more time for making merry later on. His four-course prix fixe menu starts with an amuse-bouche of lobster roll or smoked salmon on puff pastry or crab over brown butter ice cream.

Starters include harvest salad or chestnut bisque followed by an entrée of stuffed whole lobster, beef filet, or a combination platter of some of each. Other entrees are pan-seared halibut, roasted chicken thighs or vegan wild mushroom stroganoff. The meal finishes with a choice of desserts.

Caleb’s is a BYOB restaurant so don’t forget the wine or champagne for a toast. For reservations call 215-794-8588.
