Dean Morey of Point Pleasant, Pa., unexpectedly passed away at age 70, Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, doing what he loved, riding his bicycle on a sunny day.
Born in Kittanning, Pa., to the late Robert and Theresa (Csonka) Morey, he attended Kittanning Senior High School, graduated from Penn State College and moved to Eastern Pennsylvania, where he spent most of his years.
Dean was a spirited man, loving husband and good friend to many who devoted most of his working life to caring for individuals with intellectual and physical challenges. He was an outspoken and powerful active champion of environmental issues and a member of Point Pleasant Community Association.
Dean is survived by his wife of 21 years, Anne (DiGiuseppe) Morey; dear brother, Kent, and his sister-in-law, Bernadette Morey; his niece, Carrie Doyle, with her husband, Shayne; his nephew, Brett, with his wife, Elizabeth Morey, and all their children: Dasha, Gannon, Cullen, Stefina, Declan Doyle and Patrick Morey; as well as his Uncle Albert Csonka.
An outdoor memorial service to honor Dean’s life will be planned for this spring 2022.
