David M. Bonham

David M. Bonham, 66, of Erwinna, Tinicum Township, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at his home.

Born September 16, 1957 in Raritan Township, NJ, David attended Hunterdon Central High School but graduated from Palisades High School, after his family moved to Pennsylvania in his junior year. He worked as a truck driver for about five years, and was an officer in the Pennsylvania Game Commission for 25 years. David was an active member of Lincoln’s Generals Living History Group where he served as a leader portraying General Henry Slocum. He attended Morning Star Fellowship in Quakertown, PA and was a longtime “Friend of Bill.” His unique sense of humor and giving persona touched many. A loving brother, uncle, and friend to many, he will be dearly missed.

Son of the late William and Catharine (Wampfler) Bonham, David is survived by his brother Daniel F. Bonham and his wife Kathy, his cousin Rob, and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother William R. Bonham in 2023.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 6-7 p.m. at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A Celebration of David’s Life will follow at 7 p.m., Certified Funeral Celebrant Henry C. Taylor officiating. Friends and family are invited to share their memories. Interment will take place at a later date at the Rosemont Cemetery in Rosemont, NJ.
