CSA operations should be limited to farm zoning

Posted

I would like to add an opposing view concerning the use of a residential property for commercial use in the North Sugan Road area of Solebury Township.

The current owners purchased a home next to their farm on Sugan Road. This area is a residential neighborhood and has been for over 80 years. Most of the neighbors are not in favor of having them convert a residential property into a commercial property.

The April 13 zoning board meeting was stacked with people supporting Roots to River farm’s plans. Some of those people were from out of state. Most of the supporters do not live in the Sugan Road neighborhood where these changes would occur. CSA (Copmmunity Supported Agriculture) operations should be restricted to properly zoned farms.

I oppose turning a residential home into a commercial property.

Ron Norton, Solebury
