Countryside Gallery features Connie Dierks

Countryside Gallery’s September exhibition will feature the work of Bucks County artist Connie Dierks.

A 25-year county resident, Dierks said in a statement that she enjoys working with both oil and watercolor to create an evocative mood.

“To be honest, I’d much rather be painting than trying to write this artist’s statement,” she wrote, candidly. “Using form, composition, color, and brushstrokes/palette knife to create an impression of a landscape, the figure, or still life — my ultimate goal is to capture a feeling.”

The gallery, located at 2 S. State St. in Newtown Borough, has scheduled an opening reception for 6 p.m. Friday. The exhibit runs through Oct. 4.
