Posted

Cory H. Schroeder, 73, of Solebury, died at the scene of a car crash on Greenhill Road Wednesday, after suffering a medical emergency. She was a Past President of the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown.

Her passenger, a 79-year-old Solebury resident, was transported to St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, for treatment of injuries.

Solebury Police were dispatched shortly after 6:15 p.m., to the report of a one-vehicle crash on Greenhill Road between Aquetong and Mechanicsville roads. Officers arrived to find a driver and passenger trapped inside an overturned Volkswagen SUV, police said.

Central Bucks EMS and Midway Fire Company arrived and extricated the passenger, who was transported to the hospital. When rescuers reached Schroeder, they determined that she did not survive.

Preliminary investigation of the crash shows that the SUV was traveling north on Greenhill Road. The vehicle then crossed into the southbound lane of travel, striking a tree and dirt embankment causing the vehicle to overturn, police said.

Bucks County Coroner Meredith J. Buck said Schroeder had experienced a medical emergency just prior to the crash and that her staff pronounced Schroeder deceased at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed this crash, is asked to contact Corporal D. Marascio at 215-297-8201 x124.
