The Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS) board of directors and the National Alliance of Black School Educators invited Centennial School District (CSD) Superintendent Dr. Dana T. Bedden to participate in the inaugural 100 Superintendent March held in Washington, D.C., today.

Various superintendents from around the country were selected to attend the invitation-only event.

The host associations said, “The purpose of this ascension into Washington, D.C., is to provide voice and strength in numbers in a Congressional Briefing uplifting the priorities we know are at the top of our list.”

The event includes meetings with USDOE officials, Committee for Education Funding representative, round table discussions related to education policy, and briefings hosted by U.S. representatives with a focus on student social, emotional, and academic well-being, teacher/staff shortages, funding gaps, aging building, and infrastructure deficiencies, etc.
