Carversville Kitchen hosts benefit for Pine2Pink

The Carversville Kitchen will host “Turn up the Pink,” an event to benefit breast cancer awareness month, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, with proceeds going to Pine2Pink.org.

There will be art, music, food, fun and lots of pink. Local group Franklin the Band will perform two sets. Photographer Dusty Nelson will exhibit a selection of his photographs.

A diverse, large group of some of the finest local artists from Bucks and Hunterdon counties will have their paintings, watercolors, mixed media, photographs, prints and sculptures for sale.

They include Dot Bunn, Susanne Pitak Davis, Dwight Harris, Mayfield Williams, Sue Ketcham, Greta Carlton, Joy Kreves, Nancy Shill, Susan Roseman, James Feehan, Eric Fausnacht, Ivia Yavelow, Lorraine Raywood, Virginia Rosa, Jodi Walker, Jules Kantor, Nikolai Panitcharov, Deb Hoeffner, Sue Dumas, Jim Cascio, Elice Slafka, and Glenn Harren, Bill Heffern.

There will be face painting for children and Carversville Kitchen’s special bundle sandwich ... corned beef, pink lemonade and pink cheese danish.

Special treats from Gregory Benjamin Jams, Bucks County Cookies, Solebury Orchards and Owowcow also will be available for the event.

The artwork is on view for the month of October.
