Carol Mary McCaughan (née Russell) of Doylestown, Pa., passed away peacefully on June 11, 2023 at the age of 83. She was the wife of John F. McCaughan.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Carol was the eldest child of Daniel P. Russell and Delia Russell (née Norris.) She earned a chemistry degree from Marianopolis College in Montreal.
Always generous with her skills and time, Carol volunteered at Mercer Museum, Bucks County Community College Library, Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission, and Ann Silverman Clinic. In her free time, Carol was an avid curler, tennis player, and golfer, and loved to travel.
In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her children: John, Mike and Karen; her grandchildren: Cayla, Carol, Gabe, Maggie, William, Leo, and Neko; and many other loving family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown, where the family will greet guests from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery.
