Care & Share gives out first scholarships

Care & Share Thrift Shoppes of Souderton hosted its first Student Volunteer Scholarship Award Ceremony June 19.

Three high school seniors were each awarded $500 toward continuing education school/program after high school.

Emma Lehmann of Central Bucks High School East volunteered over 120 hours at Doylestown Hospital.

Kyle Macik of Upper Bucks County Technical School volunteered 148 hours leading a collection drive to benefit homeless and in-need veterans in the Greater Leigh Valley.

Regina Thomas of Neshaminy High School volunteered over 79 hours with The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

With over 1,000 volunteers who served 110,705 hours in 2018, volunteerism is the source of success of Care & Share.
