Posted

Cantus Novus will host a community sing-along of Gabriel Fauré’s “Requiem, the Cantique de Jean Racine” plus Maurice Duruflé’s “Ubi Caritas” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 9.

Artistic Director Ed McCall will lead members of the Cantus Novus chamber choir, members of the community and organist Tim Harrell in singing through these masterpieces of choral music.

All voice parts and abilities are welcome, and loaner scores will be provided. Dress is casual. The event takes place in the air-conditioned St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 47 W. Afton Ave., Yardley. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Cantus Novus is a premier 40-voice choir in Bucks County, with “an innovative approach to programming that at once delights and educates its audiences.” Specializing in a cappella repertoire, the choir strives for a balance between choral masterworks of past centuries and contemporary works of the best choral composers of today.
