The Vidocq Society recently named Dr. John Brick as editor-in-chief.

Brick, an independent forensic examiner specializing in psychopharmacology, is a full member of The Vidocq Society. He recently developed and spearheaded “Forensic Overviews” for The Vidocq Society. The series of publications focuses on key elements of cold-case investigations from toxicology to crime scene analyses to forensic photography.

“Forensic Overviews” is the first-ever series of publications for The Vidocq Society, which has, for a quarter of a century, provided pro bono expert assistance to law enforcement agencies across the United States as they work to solve cold case homicides. The Vidocq Society members include criminologists, profilers, forensic scientists, forensic and medical examiners, prosecutors, and both active and retired law enforcement agents.

A longtime resident of Bucks County, Brick has worked with numerous federal and state agencies in the tri-state area. In addition to his private practice, he has over 100 publications in the field, including the textbook “Forensic Alcohol Test Evidence (F.A.T.E.).” He is currently working on the third edition of another of his textbooks, “Drugs, The Brain and Behaviour: The Pharmacology of Drug Use Disorders.”
