Bucks offers more than 300 courses for summer scholars

Posted
Bucks County Community College, which has been attracting summer scholars for more than 50 years, is offering more than 300 credit courses this summer to help students catch up or get ahead.

Classes begin May 28, June 17, and July 8. Students can choose from face-to-face, online, or hybrid classes – a mix of both in-person and online learning. Face-to-classes are held at the Newtown Campus, the Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie, and the Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus at Lower Bucks in Bristol.

Fundamentals such as algebra, biology and English composition are available along with computer and information science, management, nursing, music and more. Guest students are welcome as most credits can transfer back to their home college, allowing them to catch up, get ahead, or graduate sooner. Tuition is $150 a credit this summer for Bucks County residents.

A list of courses is available at bucks.edu/summer.

In-person registration help is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 23 in the lower level Linksz Pavilion, at the Newtown Campus. A second in-person session will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, in the Registration Office, located in the lower level of the Linksz Pavilion. Individual appointments are also available.

The campus is located at 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, where there is ample free parking.

More information, including a free online application, is available at bucks.edu/summer, or call the Admissions, Records and Registration Office at 215-968-8100.
