Bucks County loves the Birds

Posted

Bucks County residents jammed the old courthouse lawn in Doylestown Friday evening to root on the Super Bowl-bound Eagles, get excited for the big game, and send the Birds a message of support.

Organized by the Bucks County Herald newspaper, the event featured former Eagles lineman Tra Thomas and Eagles alumni cheerleaders, as well as performances by the Fitzpatrick Irish Dancers, the Galena Brass Band, the Freestyle Dance Academy, the Warrington Warriors Cheer Squad and some of Bucks County’s own high school and college football coaches.

Face painters and balloon artists were also on hand for the young, and young at heart.

The event culminated in a video-recorded cheer that was sent to the team in Arizona.

The pep rally’s lead sponsors were Woods Services, The Thompson Organization and Penn Community Bank.
