Bucks County Foundation grants boost area nonprofits

Posted

The Bucks County Foundation (BCF) and its Board of Directors recently allocated more than $66,000 in grants to 15 area nonprofits, including a first-time grant to Town and Country Players for $10,000 and a $10,000 grant to the YWCA of Bucks County to support social justice initiatives including Racial Wealth Gap Learning Simulations and the 2025 MLK Teen Peace and Social Justice Summit.

“The nonprofits in our region are the heart and soul of our community,” said Mandy Mundy, BCF’s executive director. “Through our grants, we are joining in their mission and investing in the future of Bucks County.”

The grants fund organizations that serve Bucks County in various vital sectors including housing, food assistance, health care, legal assistance, programs for youth, arts and culture, animal welfare, environmental protection, and more.

The Foundation’s grant application process is rigorous, with BCF staff and board members evaluating each application to determine if the organization qualifies for a grant and the appropriate amount it should receive.

“We are very grateful that the Bucks County Foundation has chosen to play a ‘leading role’ in our ADA ramp project,” said Jon Knapp, Town and Country board president.

The grants are made possible by generous donors who support the Foundation with contributions to respond to the changing needs and emerging issues in Bucks County through grant-making. “Our donors demonstrate the true power of giving, by being a part of enhancing the quality of life in Bucks County through philanthropy,” said Mundy.
