PA Department of Health provides update on COVID-19 – 1,027 positives bring statewide total to 102,765

The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of noon, July 21, that there are 1,027 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 102,765. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19. There are 7,038 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 20 new deaths reported. County-specific information and a statewide map are available on the COVID-19 Data Dashboard.

Allegheny County is reporting an increase of 139 cases and Philadelphia is reporting an increase of 168 new cases.

Numbers by county

  • Bucks County: 6,467 cases and 573 deaths
  • Chester County: 4,376 cases and 334 deaths
  • Delaware County: 7,962 cases and 675 deaths
  • Lehigh County: 4,585 cases and 333 deaths
  • Montgomery County: 9,222 cases and 837 deaths
  • Northampton County: 3,657 cases and 287 deaths
  • Philadelphia: 24,093 cases and 1,658 deaths
The number of tests administered within the last 7 days between July 14 and July 20 is 155,796 with 5,996 positive cases. There were 22,287 test results reported to the department through 10 p.m., July 20. These results represent the total number of tests administered.

There are 637 patients who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure, which are considered probable cases and not confirmed cases. There are 952,998 patients who have tested negative to date.
