The Bucks County Community College Foundation (BCCCF), in partnership with the Michael G. Fitzpatrick Foundation, has officially appointed professional leadership coach Chris Seifert to serve as personal “success coach” for each student who is accepted into the Fitzpatrick Scholars Scholarship Program.
In this role, Seifert will guide students to reach their potential inside and outside the classroom through various endeavors, including academic support, community service and civic engagement activities. Applications opened Feb. 1, and scholarship recipients will be selected over the summer of 2023 for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Seifert also serves as the student engagement and leadership development director at the Bucks County Community College. Ten years before his role at BCCC, Seifert worked as a professional leadership trainer, consultant and speaker, working with schools, students, and educators across the United States and China.
The Scholars Scholarship Program is open to students who demonstrate a genuine interest in public service. The program will connect students with financial resources and Seifert as their success coach. Additionally, student recipients will be required to attend public service-related events at the college.
In support of this new program, the Michael G. Fitzpatrick Foundation will establish an ongoing partnership with the Bucks County Community College, advocating for scholarship recipients and providing program support.
In addition, the Fitzpatrick Foundation has committed to making contributions to BCCF for at least three years with a minimum donation of $180,000, further establishing the fund while contributing toward the employment of a success coach.
The Scholars Scholar program has been created in memory of and honors the legacy of longtime Bucks County Commissioner and U.S. Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick, a dedicated and tireless public servant.
