British Invasions Music Recital & Luncheon

St. Luke's Church is hosting a music fundraiser event, "British Invasions," a celebration of British culture through a fusion of classical, music-hall, and rock music on Saturday, March 2, 2024, Noon to 3PM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church located at 100 East Washington Avenue in Newtown.
From timeless classical melodies to catchy music-hall favorites, and the electrifying sounds of 60s/90s rock, "British Invasions" will take guests on a musical journey through the heart and soul of British heritage.
"We're thrilled to present 'British Invasions' as a unique fundraiser that combines the richness of British musical heritage in one memorable afternoon," said Lee Escandon, St. Luke's Choirmaster and event organizer. "Attendees can expect an eclectic mix of melodies that capture the essence of different eras, promising an afternoon filled with nostalgia, entertainment, and community spirit."

The fundraiser includes a luncheon featuring a delectable menu inspired by British cuisine, offering attendees an opportunity to savor traditional flavors while enjoying captivating performances by local talents. Guests can also participate in raffles and auctions to help support St. Luke's Music Program.
"All are welcome to join us for an afternoon of musical enchantment and culinary delights, all in support of a worthy cause," added Wayne Randolph, a performer and member of the church Vestry.
