Bertha Hagaman Marriott, 91 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023.

Born on May 18, 1932 in Somerville, N.J., Bert had lived in Lambertville for over 70 years. She was the wife of the late Samuel C. Marriott, the mother-in-law of the late Peter Woolsey and the daughter of the late Katherine Hagaman. Bert is survived by one son, Samuel C. Marriott II and his wife Carol, three daughters, Kathy Ent and her husband Jeff, Shirley Skillman and her husband Eddie, and Joyce Woolsey. Bert was blessed with eight grandchildren, Samuel C. Marriott III and his wife Angela, Robert Marriott and his wife Ryann, Joseph Ent and his wife Robyn, Samantha Clark and her husband Joe, EJ Skillman and his wife Jennifer, Brian Skillman and his wife Dana, Peter Woolsey II, Kate Woolsey and nine great-grandchildren, Addison, Gavin, Evan, Chase, Anna, Landon, Wyatt, Lauren and Alec. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Bert and Sam worked side by side for many years running-S.C. Marriot, Inc. and S.B. Petroleum. Bert was past president of the Union Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, as well as the Lambertville Soroptimist Club. Bert enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, great-grandkids and family dinners, especially at Christmas. Sam and Bert enjoyed traveling all over the world.

A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. at the Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Township, under the direction of the Garefino Funeral Home in Lambertville, N.J.
