Posted

A 19-year-old Quakertown woman was pronounced dead early this morning, after her vehicle struck a train crossing post at high speed.

Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck identified the woman as Ashley Kulick, 19, of Quakertown. Buck said Kulick was pronounced dead on scene by medics. Her cause of death was determined to be blunt force injuries, and the manner of death was accidental, Buck said.

Buck said her office responded to the single vehicle accident at the intersection of West Broad and Front streets in Quakertown Borough. She said the initial accident call came in to the Bucks County Radio Room at 5:58 a.m.

Deputy Coroner Kristina Johnson received the call from Quakertown Police at 6:25 a.m. and arrived on scene for the fatality resulting from the vehicle striking a train crossing post at high speed.

Buck said there were no passengers in the car.

“Ms. Kulick’s next of kin have been notified. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and her friends,” Buck said.
