Artsbridge stages mural artist via Zoom

Artsbridge is going big with mural artist and public art project manager Donald Gensler when it ReZooms its Distinguished Artists Series this month.
Viewers to his presentation, “Murals and Art in the Public Sphere,” will see finished murals, and get to experience the process of producing murals through community-focused public-art projects.
Gensler’s artworks investigate the personal at a public scale, often focusing on issues of social justice and community identity.

Artsbridge invites the public to join the online Zoom presentation at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, when Gensler will share some of his current studio work, and discuss the administrative challenges in developing a community-focused public art program. He is the “Art in Public Places” project manager for the Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture in Sacramento, Calif.
