Artists invited to head to wineries for inspiration

Posted

The 2022 Bucks County Wine & Art Trail opened to the public in October, and the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County and Visit Bucks County are inviting regional artists to visit participating wineries for inspiration and a chance to be featured in the 2023 Trail.

Artists working in all mediums, subject matter, and styles who want to be involved must “Commit to Participate” in the 2023 Bucks County Wine & Art Trail, now through 5 p.m. Nov. 15, at bucksarts.org/wine-art/. Artists do not need to be a member of the A&C or live in Bucks County to participate, and there is no fee to enter this program.

Artists who “Commit to Participate” may paint, draw, photograph, and more at the seven participating Bucks County wineries throughout the year. Artists may visit wineries to work en plein air, or to sketch, photograph, or gather images and ideas for studio pieces. Some wineries provide indoor arts opportunities as well, to open subject matter beyond the landscape.

A selection of final submitted pieces will be featured as large-scale outdoor reproductions at each of the wineries, and some will be used for a set of limited-edition fine art note cards to be distributed to winery visitors. All works will be featured in an exhibition and sale at the close of the 2023 Trail program.
