Artists share space in Green Building Center exhibition

Posted

Abstract artist Elbita Bello of Skillman, N.J., is exhibiting her work in the Green Building Center, 67 Bridge St., Lambertville, N.J.

Bello’s exhibit, “the things we don’t say,” evokes a sense of longing for human connection, some fragmented within its union, often times conveying a sense of solitude.

Her hope is that this will spark conversations surrounding the things we want to say but don’t. They include the need to feel connected, the truth about isolation and what this does to our relationships with others, but mostly with ourselves.

Bello’s work consists of acrylics, charcoal, pigment oil sticks with varying painting techniques, allowing freedom of expression.

She is sharing the space with Denise Jill Marshall. A landscape photographer for more than 45 years, Marshall’s recent work has focused on weaving her photographs, combining her love for abstract art and her work as a photographer.

There will be an artist reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 27th.
