Art show to benefit breast cancer research at Fox Chase Cancer Center

Posted

The Bucks County Chapter of the Board of Associates of Fox Chase Cancer Center is hosting its 25th annual art show and sale in memory of George Bramhall.

Proceeds will benefit the work of Dr. Richard Bleicher in breast cancer research at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

The popular event consists of a virtual art show and sale from Oct. 1 through Nov. 18 and an in-person event 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 and noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Solebury School Athletic Center, 6832 Phillips Mill Road, New Hope. Complimentary wine and light fare will be available during the in-person event.

Patrons can browse and purchase works online from over 40 artists from the comfort of their homes. Each artist will contribute 35% of their sales to breast cancer research. Raffle tickets may be purchased for a chance to win one of more than 40 original works of art donated by the participating artists. Patrons can apply their raffle tickets to specific original works of art, thus providing a high chance of winning their favorite. Raffle tickets are $25 each or four for $90.

Art show patrons can also make a special pledge to support Dr. Richard Bleicher’s breast cancer research at Fox Chase. Dr. Bleicher elaborates on this potentially game changing research: “We are currently studying the effect on outcomes when there is a delay between the breast cancer diagnosis, identification of the tumor’s stage, and the actual surgery. No one has determined what is too long of a time lapse. When there is a delay, has the cancer advanced to the next stage? Should the treatment protocol change? The goal of this study hopes to identify the optimal time allowed between diagnosis and treatment to establish new guidelines and thereby improve patient outcomes.”

The premiere artists exhibiting at the event include: Anandi Ramanathan-Fine Art, Anita Duhon-Fine Art, Barry Good-Photographer, Bernadette Suski-Harding-Fine Jewelry, Beth Palser-Fine Art, Bette Conway-Fine Jewelry, Bob Richey-Fine Art, Christopher McCall-Fine Art, Denise Marshall-Photographic Weaving, Derek Foster-Upcycled Musical Designs, Derek Mohr, Diane Greenberg-Fine Art, Eileen Cressman-Reeder, Ellisa Goldberg-Fine Art, Emily Thompson-Fine Art, Evelyn Kuhlman-Jewelry, Fred Place-Fine Art, Gary Fournier-Fine Art, George Thompson-Fine Art, Giovanni Arcamone-Fine Art, Helena van Emmerik-Finn-Fine Art, Indira Cariappa-Fine Art, Jerry Dornbach-Fine Art, Joyce Guariglia-Fine Art, Jud Sharp-Fine Art, Kathleen Lang-Fiber Art, Kelly Forté-Fine Art;
