Area State Police taking part in “6 State Trooper Project”

Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, which includes Bucks County, will participate in the “6 State Trooper Project” that commences at 12:01 a.m. Monday, April 4, and concludes at 11:59 p.m. Monday, April 11.
The 6 State Trooper Project is a collaboration between the Pennsylvania State Police, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Kentucky State Police, Indiana State Police, West Virginia State Police, and Michigan State Police with the goal of enhancing highway safety, criminal patrol, and intelligence sharing.

Troopers will concentrate their enforcement efforts toward distracted drivers who violate laws: regarding texting while driving; regarding handheld mobile telephones; prohibiting use of hearing impairment devices; prohibiting text-based communications; regarding careless driving; regarding reckless driving; and regarding image display devices.
