The AOY Art Center invites art enthusiasts from across the region to attend its 12th annual Juried Show.
Leah Triplett Harrington, the director of exhibitions and contemporary curatorial initiatives at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), served as juror for this year’s exhibition. Harrington reviewed over 372 submissions and handpicked 109 exceptional pieces across a variety of mediums.
“...I was so impressed with the incredible breadth and depth of strength of submissions,” she said. “My selections are works that had powerful colors, composition, and vibrant subjects or themes speaking to the season of spring and renewal. These works are of a range of styles and media, but all demonstrate a vitality of material and method.”
The public is invited to the Opening Reception and Awards Program from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 12, on Patterson Farm, at 949 Mirror Lake Road in Lower Makefield (Yardley).
Honorable Mention awards are generously sponsored by Jerry’s Artarama of Lawrenceville.
Following the opening event, the gallery will be open to the public free of charge, although donations are appreciated. The exhibition will be accessible starting Saturday, April 13, from noon to 5 p.m., and will continue on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. through May 5.
