Anna V. Stoehr

Posted

Our beloved Anna Ventriglia Stoehr of Chalfont gracefully went home with God on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, warmly surrounded by her husband and children. She was 65.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., Anna resided in Doylestown, Pa., before moving to Chalfont in 1992.

She was the beloved wife of 37 years to Thomas R. Stoehr; devoted mother of Renata Stoehr and husband Ted Bryant, Angela Crowley and husband Michael and their soon-to-be baby girl; cherished daughter of Anna (Giagnorio) Ventriglia and the late Anthony Ventriglia; dear sister of Robert Ventriglia and wife Wanda, and the late Maria Louise Vincent and Anthony Ventriglia; also survived by siblings-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Before retiring last October, she worked as a legal secretary with Brahin Law Offices of Doylestown, Pa., for several years, many of which were spent working side-by-side with her late sister, a time she forever cherished. The prior 37 years, she was a title searcher at the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds office. Anna was a woman of unconditional love, steadfast commitment, and spicy opinions, which spells trouble for our dear New York sports lover.

A lifelong fan of the Mets, Rangers and Giants (except anyone associated with the front office and coaching staff), Anna was never shy about declaring her feelings and thoughts on the direction of these franchises. But even when they were infuriatingly incompetent, disastrously inept, and embarrassingly inferior, she remained die-hard all the way. With New York coursing through her veins, she is especially pissed about spending any of her last days in Philadelphia and is likely to curse our city sports teams into oblivion.

Anna spent her days enjoying tennis, cooking, gardening, “Law & Order” (original recipe only), and “The Golden Girls” (a total Sophia). In childhood and adulthood, she spent many summers in Lake George, N.Y., with her family and friends. Anna loved her neighbors in Lindenfield like her own family, fostering a wonderful tight-knit community perfect for raising her two daughters and VERY spoiled pets. Our family is at peace knowing Zippy, Tiger, Rainbow, Duck, and others were there to greet her in Heaven.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown, Pa., on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. The family will receive their relatives and friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. before the Mass.

A private burial will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to the Bucks County SPCA, P.O. Box 277 Lahaska, PA 18931, or www.buckscountyspca.org/donate/.
