“Ancestral Intersection” opens at New Hope Arts

Join New Hope Arts from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 24, for the opening reception for “Ancestral Intersection,” with a special performance by Tchin, an Indigenous Elder musician, artist, and culture bearer who will play the Native courting flute.

New Hope Arts’ 2022 Legacy Exhibition, “Ancestral Intersection,” is an invitational art exhibition highlighting how an artist’s personal ancestry or connection to humanity has impacted their past work, influences their current work, and inspires future work.

The regional artists featured in this show come from various cultural/ethnic backgrounds to reflect the nature of the population in the U.S.

Curated by Dalissa McEwen-Reeder, the show continues at 2 Stockton Ave., New Hope, from noon to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday, through Oct. 30. For information, visit
