American Heritage Credit Union reaches $4 billion in assets

Posted

American Heritage Credit Union (“American Heritage”) reached $4 billion in assets at the end of March, another significant milestone in the credit union’s history, having recently welcomed its 250,000th member as well. In just over four years, American Heritage has doubled in asset size.

Formed in 1948 as the Budd Workers Federal Credit Union, the original branch was on Hunting Park Avenue in North Philadelphia. Rechristened as American Heritage Credit Union in 1987, American Heritage is now one of the 90 largest credit unions in the United States, with more than 35 locations across Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, and Camden counties, serving more than 800 Workplace Partners throughout the region. “When we were founded, our goal then was to serve all our members in the Philadelphia area no matter who they are or where they live,” stated Bruce K. Foulke, president and CEO of American Heritage. “In our journey to $4 billion in assets, we have been blessed to serve a membership that truly represents the wonderful diversity of our community.

Today, our 250,000 members, our Workplace Partners, and our community partners all share that same spirit of family and people helping people that we did when we first opened our doors 74 years ago.”
