American Bulldog Rescue welcomes second graders for day of reading

Posted

American Bulldog Rescue, based at the historic Joshua Whiteley House in New Hope, recently welcomed 75 second graders from Keystone Academy Charter School of Philadelphia for a service day.

Two bus loads of children from Keystone Academy read to the dogs in small groups, and learned what the rescue does and why there is such a tremendous need for rescues like American Bulldog. The students brought a donation of $217 they had raised for the rescue.

American Bulldog Rescue is an all-volunteer nonprofit whose mission, since 1999, has been to provide rescue, transport, foster homes, veterinary care, rehabilitation and, ultimately, a loving forever home for neglected, stray and owner-surrendered bully breeds.
