“Always a Bridesmaid” debuts at Acting Naturally’s theater

Posted

A comedy centered on lifetime friends continues at the Acting Naturally Theatre, 164 N. Flowers Mill Road (at the Shoppes at Flowers Mill), Langhorne, Friday and Sunday.

“Always A Bridesmaid,” written by Jones Hope Wooten, is a comedy about keeping the promise made by four friends on the night of their Senior Prom: to be in each other’s weddings…no matter what.

Libby Ruth (Lydia Goldberg of Newtown) is the hopeful romantic; Deedra is headstrong (Aimee Miller of New Hope); Monette (Anita Getz of Levittown) is flashy and high-spirited; and Charlie (Martha Stringer of Yardley) is the tree-hugging salt-of-the-earth.

More than 30 years later, these Southern friends-for-life are still making “the long walk” for each other, determined to honor that vow.

Completing the cast, playing the role of Sedalia Ellicott is Ann D’Silva of Newtown, and playing the role of Young Keri is Ryann Moran of Levittown.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Call 267-798-9165 or visit www.ActingNaturally.com to purchase tickets.
