Acrylic pouring workshop set to help participants find their flow

Posted

Local artist-muralist Laura Bray will give a one-night acrylic pouring demonstration and workshop Nov. 8, at Amanda Layre’s Fine Art Studio in Doylestown.

“Acrylic Pouring is a beautiful way to create abstract art,” said Bray. “The paintings that are created in the workshop can be a jumping-off point, or they can be taken home and hung as a lovely colorful piece of art. It’s a fun creative way to express yourself and anyone can do it. We were all meant to be creative.”

The event is designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced artist. After Bray demonstrates how to do acrylic pouring, the participants will have the opportunity to play and experience this spontaneous fluid art form.

Bray will demonstrate three pouring techniques during the workshop and afterward the participants can choose the techniques they would like to try on their own 12 by 16 canvas. All materials for the workshop will be provided. This is a BYOB event. Bring a friend. Come uncork, unwind and be creative.

The workshop will run 6:30 to 9 p.m. at 33 Union St., Doylestown. Seating is limited. To register, contact Amanda Layre at 732-585-0515 or 215-262-3279, or visit AL Fine Art Studio online.
