ACME to present second Lambertville Halloween Film Festival, submissions wanted

Posted

The Acme Screening Room in Lambertville, N.J., said the second annual Lambertville Halloween Film Festival is officially set for Oct. 27-29.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone back to showcase the incredible talents from some of today’s best Halloween-themed filmmakers; think spooky thrillers, paranormal activities, and horror. As arts venues and communities around the region continue their triumphant return, we too are thrilled to be back for year two of our festival and to be part of Lambertville’s history as ‘Halloweenville,’” Acme said in a press release.

“To grow on that history, we will have daytime activities for all ages celebrating the Halloween season. Ghoul making, ghost tours, and a Monster Bash Costume party are just some of the fun.”

Film submissions are open until Aug. 16 on FilmFreeway.com. A panel of star judges will award the spookiest, scariest, and all-around creepiest films with the coveted Golden Pumpkin Award as well as the title of Best Picture. An audience selection for Best Picture and Best Short will also be announced. Hunterdon Teen Arts Festival is sponsoring a teen category with awards and screenings to be held Sunday, Oct. 29.

Discounted weekend packages are now available for all films and special events. For information and updates, visit acmescreeningroom.org/lhff.
