ACME Screening Room presents Carpool Cinema

Posted
Join the ACME Screening Room every Saturday evening this summer for the ACME Carpool Cinema, located at 204 N. Union St., Lambertville, N.J., behind the Spokeworks Building.

Each evening includes live music by local musicians from 8:15 to 8:45 p.m. with the movie starting at 9 p.m. The parking lot opens at 8 p.m.

Opening night featured music by J B Kline and a screening of Wes Anderson’s “Isle of Dogs.”

Concessions were provided by Thai Tida, along with the ACME’s regular popcorn and candy. Upcoming musicians include locals Brian Elliot, John Beacher and Sam Ryan.

The ACME has been closed since March 8 and since then has been showing Virtual Movie screenings for home viewing, with an updated schedule each week.

As the summer came around, the ACME responded to previous years’ requests for outdoor movie screenings, by partnering with the city and Spreen Mortgage to bring the Carpool Cinema to Lambertville.

Ticket sales are available online only. Tickets are $40 per car. On the schedule for Saturday, July 11 is “Yesterday” plus musical guest Brian Elliot. For the upcoming film schedule and to purchase tickets, go to acmescreeningroom.org.
