Absolute Music School students to perform in “Voices for Vets” fundraiser

Posted

On Sunday, May 19, Absolute Music School will host its 16th annual fundraiser, “Voices for Vets,” at VFW Post #6493 at 645 Louis Drive in Warminster, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission to the event is free. Refreshments and raffle tickets will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc.

Absolute Music School in Hatboro began hosting fundraisers when a student brought the project idea to business owner and school founder Nancy Rodzwic.

“Over the past 15 years, our students have raised almost $100,000 for local charities, including Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors. With the help of residents and businesses in the community, we’re confident that we can reach that six-figure mark this year,” said Rodzwic. “Raffle prizes include gift cards, baskets with items from local businesses, and local vacation getaways. The students work really hard all year, and this is a wonderful way to showcase their talent and help veterans in our community who are struggling.”

Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc. was founded to help over 1,200 veterans and families each year with over $1,500,000 in assistance. “We provide emergency financial assistance to veterans to help pay for housing, utilities, transportation, medical and other expenses. Every dollar raised in Pennsylvania, stays in Pennsylvania,” said Helen Sajer, cofounder and president of PAWW.

“Pennsylvania’s veterans have served their nation in every conflict. Many of these men and women are recovering physically, mentally or emotionally at a military hospital, Veteran’s Administration medical facility or with their families at home – and are in need of financial support. Through generous donations from events like ‘Voices for Vets,’ we are able to assist our Pennsylvania veterans.”
