A colorful fall harvest abounds at Hunterdon Land Trust’s Farmers Market

Posted

Autumn may have arrived, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of Hunterdon Land Trust’s Farmers Market season.

The market’s regular season will remain open every Sunday through Nov. 19 offering a cornucopia of colorful and nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables. HLT’s winter farmers market will return in December.

Besides great produce, shoppers can find pork, beef and lamb to create savory and comforting fall stews.

Local farmers and vendors that attend the market either weekly or monthly include: Allerton Creek Farm (knife sharpening and gifts), Apple Ridge Farm (breads and pastries), AquaSprout Farms (lettuce, kale, microgreens and Griggstown Farm pot pies), Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse (award-winning cheese and bread), Burek by Zeni (bureks and ready-to-eat dinners), Cabbage Throw Farm at Comeback Farm (organic produce), Gorgeous Goat Creamery (chèvre, goat’s milk, goat’ milk yogurt, soaps), Kleinhans Farm (grass-fed beef), Marzipan and Desserts (elegant desserts), Pickle Culture (pickles and olives), Pretty Bird Farm (fresh-cut flowers and bouquets), Purely Farm (artisan sausages and turkey products), Rooster Ranch (beef and chicken), Sweet Valley Farms (fresh fruit and vegetables), Two Barn Farm (local produce), Toadshade Wildflower Farm (native plants and seeds), Untamed Ferments (probiotic beverages, coffee and tea), and Wildspawn Mushrooms (wide variety of mushrooms).

Regular season market hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is located at the historic Dvoor Farm, 111 Mine Street in Flemington, N.J. For weekly updates on the farmers market, visit www.hunterdonlandtrust.org. The market also offers yoga into the early fall.
