Middletown Grange Fair is back after two years away

Posted

The Middletown Grange Fair is back this year after an absence of two years.

Planning is set for the fair at the Middletown Grange Fairgrounds on Penns Park Road, Wrightstown, Aug. 17-21.

It will have five days of music, carnival rides, animal and people races, a tractor pull and contests for live farm animals that visitors can see in their stalls with their owners. It also has displays of foods, crafts, knitting, weaving and needlework in competition for ribbons.

Admission is free and parking is $20 a car for a day, with a five-day pass available for $50. Parking is free for veterans with ID. A portion of the parking fees goes to the Lingohocken Fire Company and Bucks Fraternal Order of Police, who serve as parking attendants and the rest covers fees associated with the fair.

Tickets are $1 each for amusement rides – $20 for 24 tickets, $50 for 64 tickets). The number of tickets per ride varies from three to five. Fair directors are Amber DiIanni, Lynne Bowen and Debbie Gregory.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
