The 11th Annual New Hope Film Festival (NHFF) announces its lineup of
international and domestic films for the 2020 season. Official
Selections include 41 films from eight countries. The scaled down
numbers reflect the difficulty of obtaining exhibition copies of films
during the COVID-19 pandemic. The lineup also includes 17 original
scripts. Actual screening of the films will take place in July 2021.
Selected films have already been previewed on the festival’s Google blog
and in a Special Edition Program Guide that includes the July 2021
screening schedule. The annual gala event has been replaced by a
first-ever world announcement in a Variety digital publication that will
go online in conjunction with Cannes Film Festival on June 30. All
awards winners and nominees will also be listed on the festival’s blog
