Help Keep Local Journalism Alive in Our Community

Dear Readers,

For two decades the Herald has provided trusted, non-partisan local news that helps keep readers informed and our public sector accountable. We also serve as a community hub — one that keeps us connected, and supports countless local organizations, businesses, schools, the arts, culture and so much more.

If you believe in what we do, please consider joining the Friends of the Herald — as an individual or business — or both. The Herald Foundation is registered as a charitable organization in Pennsylvania, and all donations will be retroactively tax-deductible when we receive final federal approval of our new non-profit status (expected soon).

Since the pandemic struck, the Friends of the Herald have, quite literally, kept local journalism alive in our community. While newsrooms are shuttering all over the country, our readers are helping us to buck the trends. With your support, we will not become a news desert, and our wonderful corner of the world will have a news organization dedicated to helping it to thrive and prosper for years to come.

Sincerely,

Bridget Wingert, Editor & Joe Wingert, Publisher
