Youth art show benefits Habitat Bucks

Twenty-five young artists ages 9 to 17 were recently featured in an art show to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County.

The June art show titled “Everyone Needs A Place to Call Home” kicked off with an opening day reception at Countryside Gallery in Newtown.

State Rep. Perry Warren and professional artists Judy LaTorre, Ilya Lerner, Guy Brudahl and Don Robb came out to support the aspiring young artists who created colorful acrylic paintings of different types of homes around the world.

During the art show, note cards featuring the student artwork were sold, raising $475 for Habitat for Humanity.

Since 1990, Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County has built or fully renovated 115 homes for low-income families.

Revenue from Habitat Bucks ReStores provides a source of sustainable funding for the construction and repair of homes.
